My third time at Amigos staying for multiple days. The best run hostel I've ever been in. Very pretty grounds. A great pool. Kathy is beyond helpful. She know pretty much everything about everything on the island. Somehow she attracts really great people. Loved hearing about everybody's travels. Great place to meet fellow travelers. The bunk rooms are well kept. The locker boxes are large. I'm a light sleeper so I brought ear plugs and eye shades. They weren't really necessary. Everybody tried to be respectful of their fellow travelers. A 15 minute walk to the ferry, but worth it. Also a great taco place on 30th next to the Domino's Pizza. Half way to the taco place, there is a great little bakery.

Rules, rules, rules. Obey the rules!
This family house transformed into a hostel is not too bad. The only problem is the management. You feel at the owners house and she reminds you that on every move you make. Didnt feel like in a hostel.

Comments (English):
Amigos is a great hostel. It was nice to stay out of the main tourist district and have the opportunity to see what is like to live as a local. Plenty of shops and eateries near by. Great place to stay if your interested in scuba diving.
Kathy was realy helpful, providing information of the island and hostel as well as providing access to water, phone, printer and so on.
Would recommend to any one who is looking for a relaxing fun time.

A lovely garden setting with a palm tree lined swimming pool.
All the trees and shrubs had name tags for identification; however, I could not find any information on the one tagged "Smoking Fumador."
It must be an exotic Mexican species.

place wasfar away from ctr.owner is control freak.pool has so much chlorine that you cant put your head under or risk burning your eyes.owner puts air conditioning on at night even though it was very cold already.asked for fresh water to drink ,was told to just boil the tap water and find an empty bottle somewhere to keep it in.also had trouble settling on a price beforehand and on leaving was charged more than agreed upon.other guests were charged differing amounts,depending on owners whim i guess.barely anywhere to eat nearby,and no market to but food except at very long distance.

Big yard with big shady tries.
Clean swimming pool
Good kitchen
One disadvantage It is off from the center of town
It would be nice if owner provide bicycles.
I had my own bicycle. On bicycle it was not far

Comments (English):
Fabulous option to stay at on Cozumel. I don't see why you'd pay ten times the price to stay at a hotel when there's a kitchen, pool, garden (and a lovely cat!) at Amigos. Owner was very friendly and helpful too.
