A basic facility that provides a safe haven for travelers.
Pros:
The place is very clean. Rooms are not cramped. Beds (double bunks) are comfortable. The reception, signing in and signing out was friendly and efficient. There was always help for answering questions. There is a fully-fitted kitchen. Bathrooms are clean.
Cons:
The pousada does not offer breakfast. There are eating places closeby that tend to be pricy. The Avenida Rebouca in front of the pousada is VERY noisy. Brazil is the only countries with trucks and buses more noisy than trains. Therefore I would not take a room at the front.

well, I cannot really judge the hostal cause i couldn´t realize the check in. I made a reservation by internet but when i arrived there was no one in the reception. I was asking other clients but they only told me that the guy went off and wouldn´t return till the next day. I had no number of contact, so I had to leave and look for another place to stay. I arrived about 5pm, but the recepcionist left before cause it was a holiday (!)
