Comments (English):
It was a good place to spend a night in Kandy. The location is great (great view over the city and the Buddha statue within 15 minutes walk) and the hosts very friendly. The room is what you can expect for that price in Sri Lanka. I would stay there again.

Comments (English):
The hosts at Spica made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed talking to the hosts especially their stories and advice for around Sri Lanka. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast is lovely and their meals are so nice. Lovely views from the balcony. Only a short walk into town but I advise a tuk tuk back, pay no more than 200 Rupees.

Comments (English):
We had a warm welcome with tea after our arrival. We enjoyed a traditional nice sri lankan dinner and a good breakfast. The homestay is located on a beautiful hill on walking distance of the city center of Kandy. This homestay is value for money. The older couple knows a lot about the history of Sri Lanka and Kandy.

This was great budget accommodation. It was out of the busy area and not easy to get to but the views were fabulous. The room was spacious and as described and the hosts were very helpful and friendly.

I arrived for 2 nights and the rooms are really nice and clean and has all the amenities that are needed while traveling, Have hot water, wifi and a very good balcony upstairs with the whole city view. Very peaceful and quiet place and can have a good walk to the city. A great experience overall with very reasonable pricing and recommended for all plus the owners are really nice and helpful.

We stayed in Spica for couple of days (21st & 22nd Dec 2013). As the name suggests, Spica is a nice holiday "home".. the Commander & his wife look after the guests as their own family.. Some of the suggestions about the places to see/eat were invaluable for us!
One of the things to be aware of is that Spica is fair distance away from Kandy city center - about 2 to 3 kms. The tuk-tuks generally charged us LKR 150 to 200 for every trip up & down. Be ready to set aside a budget to just travel in tuk-tuks because, you'd need to visit the city center for almost everything!
Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor give panoramic view of the Kandy mountains

I spent only 2 nights stay in Spica Holiday Home. The room is clean and nice view. It's not far from the city. however the guest house is located in a hill and the road to the hill is not good.
The price is very reasonable. The owners are nice. You feel like home in Spica.

Comments (English):
The owners of the guest house made us feel very welcome. It is a kilometer or so from town - an easy walk there, but we appreciated the tuk-tuks taking us back after a night out. The guest house is very quiet and relaxing.
