| Comments (English): BB La Corte was a lovely place to stay in the hustle and bustle of the Naples area. It is not at all a tourist area and it was interesting to wander round the scruffy local streets of this very busy unrenovated outer suburb. It was extremely difficult to find and located in in a hair-raising one way system in the narrow ancient streets. The maps supplied did not make it clear how far it was from the motorway, much clearer instructions on getting there are needed. San Antimo has it's own train station and it was a short ride into the centre of Naples, costing only Euro 1.90 return. (That is if there had been a ticket seller at the ticket office!) The rooms are lovely and open out onto a private interior courtyard where cars can also be parked with absolute safety was incredibly peaceful. Outside the gates all is madness in the tiny narrow streets. If you are going to drive here you need to be a confident driver and probably some satellite navigation aid! I would recommend it as a base for seeing Naples if yoare confident of finding it. The host who speaks English was extremely helpful with information, maps etc and the train station is walking distance. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
